Our Projects

The Ministry of Electricity has completed its preparations to launch an electronic payment service for electricity bills in Damascus and its countryside by completing its tests, experiments and qualifying of its cadres.

 

President Bashar al-Assad launches the first phase of operating the photovoltaic energy project in the  Industrial City Adra  
The project aims to generate 100 megawatts of electricity through solar panels upon completion, and covering an area  of more than 165 hectares.

So far, more than 18000 solar panels have been installed with 10 megawatts of solar panels, and the energy generated by the project has been connected to the grid to support Syria's electricity production.
Work on this project began as a private investment in cooperation with the public sector, after President al-Assad's visit to the industrial city in Adra in June 2021.

President al-Assad was accompanied on his visit to the project by Prime Minister Hussein Arnous, the ministers of  Electricity, Economy, Foreign trade and Industry, Governor of Damascus Rural Province, of and the secretary of the Arab Socialist Baath Party branch in Damascus Rural Province, a number of officials in the electric power sector in the Ministry of Electricity, shareholders and experts in the project.
