Memorandum of Understanding Signed to Launch Two Solar Energy Projects in Rural Damascus and Hama

General director for Transmission and Distribution of  Electricity ,Eng Khaled Abo Di has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Solar Rex Company to establish two strategic solar energy projects aimed at supporting Syria’s transition toward renewable energy.

The first project, with a capacity of 100 megawatts, will operate without storage energy, while the second project will have a capacity of 70 megawatts and will be equipped with an integrated battery bank. Both projects are planned for development in rural areas of Damascus and Hama.

Commenting on the (MoU), Eng. Khaled Abu Di, General Director of the Establishment , stated
"This memorandum is part of our efforts to diversify energy sources and increase the share of renewable energy in the national electricity mix. This initiative is essential for achieving sustainable development and ensuring energy security for the country".
